question about replacing instrument cluster light bulbs............... 850 1996

I forgot to mention that when I was going about popping the dash up, the torx screw, holding the dash inside the air vent to the left of the steering wheel, was loose. After I had installed the cluster, with the new bulb(s), I was unable to properly tighten the screw-thank you Volvo dealership in SoCal! Is it ok to leave that screw out, as I don't want it to fall into the air system, or should I head to the Volvo dealer tomorrow here and see if they have a larger thread torx screw? Thanks, and happy Mother's Day :)
