DOOR HINGES RUSTED 850

The only way you can properly lubricate the hinges is to remove the door. The door side of the hinge goes over a pin on the car side so you have to lift the door off it. Use some PB blaster to get the torx retention screws loose. Then you need to remove the large torx bolt on the retention strap. Finally, you need to remove the very small torx retention screw on the electrical connector, and disconnect it. Then you can lift the door off its hinges, clean them up and grease them well. I've had both of my front doors off to fix the retention strap welds, not a hard job.
