glueing dash cover behind passenger airbag 850 1995

I am going to try to reglue the dash cover that has come unglued behind the passenger side airbag. The airbag cover appears to have the same problem to a lesser degree. I understand this is a common problem due to the use of a less than adequate environmentally safe glue. It would appear that it would be much easier to get the glue under the dashpad if I could somehow remove the airbag cover. Is this feasible or not? I realize that the airbag is technically an explosive device and would not like to injure or kill myself over some faulty glue.
