sticky caliper 850 1996

I seem to have a sticky (right front) caliper problem. I heard the ominous "gleee" sound when initially accelerating(pads on disc?) without my foot on the brake and noted a burning smell most noticeable in the right front wheel area after my drive.

I removed the rf wheel and removed the caliper. I pushed the caliper in and out with channel lock pliers and cleaned and lubricated it. The piston seemed to deploy about 1/4 inch when I stepped on the brake pedal. I still hear a bit of a "gleee" sound but no burning smell after driving.

My question is should I feel lucky and continue to drive, or should I change the calipers based the collective experience of those "in the know" out there in brickboard land?

Dan
