Battery light + other odd symptoms while driving V70-XC70 1999

I was zipping along happily at around 90 or so when suddenly most of the warning lights came on including Battery, ABS, TRACS etc.

I pulled over and shut off the car to see if the lights might reset - when I restarted, only the Battery light stayed on.

Also the ACC fan wouldn't work at any temp while on Auto (but did work manually) - does it shut down when it senses low voltage??

As soon as I locate my meter I'll check voltage at the battery - what should I be getting if the alternator is OK?

If not, does that necessitate complete alt. replacement or does it have an attached voltage reg that usually goes bad?
