Throttle cable firewall junction V70-XC70 1998

While merging on the freeway I had to slam on the throttle to avoid being run over by a truck. In the process, I felt something snap and now I have about a half inch play at the top end of the gas pedal. Looking at the throttle cable from the engine side, I noticed that the firewall junction box (not sure if this is the correct name) has separated from the firewall. Any ideas on how to re-attach this piece back to the firewall?
