A/C Issue - Compressor? 850 1997

Rhaire that system might be over-charged. With a gauge connected on the low side service port you only want 30-35 psi of pressure with the compressor running. More than that will damage the system. You should not have to jumper the low pressure cut out switch to make the A/C work. The system is designed to have the compressor cycle off and on at required intervals. Now, if the low pressure switch is bad, you can simply unscrew it and install a new one, there is a valve in the hole to prevent pressure from escaping.
