Fan no longer working on ECC unit 850 1993

An update.
Well, This unit seems to have a mind of its own. The fan does work, but just whenever it wants to. In testing it today, sometimes (while it is in manual mode) the fan would come on just fine, and then after a while slow down and then stop. At other times the fan never would come on.
In response to MadeinJapan, I am not finding what you suggested. Here is the link I thought you were referring to. but I could find nothing about codes in there. http://www.volvospeed.com/Repair/ac.php
The lights on the AC and REC switches do usually light up upon start. They flash 18 times usually, if that means anything.
