2002 Volvo S80 keyless remote S80 2002

S 80 and 01 and newer S60 & 70 remotes are packaged with a PIN number at the factory. This specific pin must be entered into VIDA when programing to make the car recognize the remote. The dealer CANNOT obtain this code by any means. The number is not stored in any dealer accessible database. Without the number, the remote is useless. Trying other dealers will be a waste of time. You have 2 choices. Find a used remote that has the pin, or buy new. Then you will still need to pay for software download to enable programming, and yes there is a charge for the software.
