O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response code 850 1996

02 sensors seem to fail slowly so yours may be on the way out. Is your mpg stable? Often you'll see a mpg decline as the sensor fails as the fuel mix gets richer and richer. On 02 sensors for the 96 850, a lot of vendors and AP stores have the wrong sensor # listed which I found out the hard way as there's generally no return on electrical parts once installed. To make a long story short, I went thru two sensors (both Bosch and I did get a refund on one) and the car continued to be not right. Finally took it to my indie who showed me his chart. He installed the one his chart listed and vola, cured. ALso, a lot of guys seem to make out ok with after market sensors (ie Walker) but I'd stick wth Bosch. Just my $0.02
