Bought an S80 S80

California and the 7 New England states ban diesel engines in cars. Seems that the oil companies still make high sulphur diesel fuel and that leads to all sorts of problems with the clean air act. Auto companies are waiting for the low sulphur fuel before importing them with exhaust scrubbers.
Too bad for us. Some of the farmers in Minnesota are running farm equipment with a blend of diesel and corn oil (50/50) and eliminated all of the soot. Perhaps we should start growing more peanuts so that we can make clean oil, which is what Dr. Diesel used in his first engines!

Klaus

BTW: Diesel costs more than gasoline in the USA.
