Consequences of disconnecting awd????? V70-XC70 1998

All you have to do is unbolt the drive shaft. But that presents a few problems. YOU cannot put it back on unless you know exactly which bolts came from where and the shaft cannot be put back on upside down.
The differential fluid in the rear still must be changed.
Do NOT try to sell or donate this car as AWD or XC. Let the future owner know what you did, same if you donate it. Keep the drive shaft and bolts so that when you do get rid of the car, you can put it in the back of the car.
Resale value goes to hell when you do this,
Klaus
