Most of the "R" crowd hangs around over at "Swedespeed".


The Rs, and in particular the '04s seem to require a lot of care and feeding. That might not be a bad price though, or it might be, depending on the condition, equipment and options, the price range is pretty wide on the Rs. I'd be sure it has a warranty and that you have a dealer who is comfortable working on the cars.

I'm considering an '07 R but I'd be a little scared of a used one, particularly an '04.

I might also give serious thought to leasing an R -- this is probably one car that you do just not want to own out of the warranty period. I also hear Volvo has some amazing lease incentives going on with '06s right now.
