Crankcase ventilation and CV boots 850

Have two questions about a 96 850 non-turbo.

First: If the crankcase ventilation system gets clogged up would you notice the engine smoke slightly after long idle periods (5 minutes or more)? All compressions are good, but if I sit more than five minutes at idle, when I accelerate I get oil smoke then it burns off and no more smoke. No smoke on cold start. Also I have been losing oil recently with no noticeable smoke while driving and no leaks. (I park in the same spot every night and no leaks at all)

Second: Outer CV boot on passenger side has just split - can the boot be replaced or is it joint replacement time?

Thank you.
