Humming Sound and 'position bulb failure' V70-XC70 2004

I have an '04 V70 wagon with 39,000 miles. I occasionally notice a humming sound at about 35 to 40 miles an hour and sometimes on the freeway at about 60. When I turn the wheel slightly the sound goes away... I figure we will need tires soon but was wondering if this sounds more like a wheel bearing or ???

I also occasionally get a warning in the message window that says "position bulb failure". Can't find any lighting problems anywhere. The dealer says they can't diagnose unless it is on when they are working on the car.

Any help appreciated!

Thanks!
