2004 S80 2.5T Reliability help S80

A Volvo mechanic-friend from Temple, TX (30+years) says the S80 with the 5 cyl turbo is much better than the 6 cyl model. I did drive one and it is nice and a large well appointed car. Not as spunky as my S70 T5 though. Believe it would be a good choice----my opinion.
