keyless entry problem 850 1996

bruce.... to reprogram you transmitter your suppose to make sure all doors and trunk or hatch are closed and locked, turn the key on and off 5 times quickly, wait for the light on the top of the dash to come on and then press one of the keys on the transmitter within 10 sec. and that reprograms the transmitter.

i have a problem with mine the light wont come on after turning the key on and off so i cant get my transmitter to program. i was told the reciever for the transmitter was under the dash on the drivers side there should be an antenna coming off of it or its located behind the glove box. i havent looked yet going to today.
