Is the ECC on the dash easily replaceable?

Before you spend a lot of money, have a dealer pull the codes for the ECC. The temp sensor is in the dash next to the radio, with a little grill on it. You will need to pull the radio and the ECC to get behind the sensor and push it out so that you can clean the dust and dirt off. Some folks have had luck using a vacuum cleaner nozzel to suck the dirt out while it is still in the dash.
The ECC is a complete unit.
