Hello Ian,

My 99 V-70 has what I believe to be a similar problem. It will start, then immediately die. I believe this problem is related to the antenna ring. There have been others on this board that complain of similar difficulties and one fellow that took his to the dealer for repair. I believe the repair consisted of reprogramming the computer.

What we have learned is that when the car does not start, as silly as this may seem, we turn the ignition key back to position 1, remove the key, reinsert the key and typically the car will start. You may also want to try using another key.

The search ability of this site has become diminished over the last several months, but nonetheless, try "Starts, then dies". I will also look.
