Electrical Issue 850 1996

Klauz here is the service statement.

Customer states check engine light comes on over the past several years. Vehicle intermittenlty dies whild driving, only dies while driving slower speeds or at idle. Generally starts ok.

Work Performed: Access ECM VIA VST and found fault code EFI-213 stored. Permanent fault. Ran monitor test and found TPS not changing as acceleration pedal depressed. Replaced TPS and cleaned connections. Rechecked operation. Ok now.

Thats all they stated and I haven't notice the ck engine light come on after they reset it. I never realized that I could have ben getting a missunderstanding from Auto-Zone readers. I would have thought to replace the MAF sensor first or at least check for major air leaks or vacumm leaks. I guess I have no choice but to take it to a special Volvo deal or repair shop since the codes are so specific. Thanks again Klauz.
