AWD Transfer failure due to the use of spare wheel. V70-XC70 1997

I read your entry over on another forum. Best of luck my friend. I really hope you get this sorted. Why in the world would Volvo put a space-saver spare in a car that will be damaged if you use it, is beyond me. Although we don't have an XC, we changed both of our cars' space-saver spares out for rear size tires immediately after buying the cars. I didn't think it made sense to have these irregular size tires in the cars to begin with and we don't even have a 4WD vehicle. Anyway, I hope others chime in and Volvo takes care of you, as obviously it's their fault.
