Oil Dip Stick S70

I have a '99 S70 and the top of the oil dipstick was broken off (when I had the oil changed and they put a wire at the top and rounded it so lift it in and out. I didn't notice it until about a month later and of course they denied breaking it) and when I went to the Volvo dealer to get a new one I was told that they were changed at some point on this model and if I wanted a new one I had to purchase the metal tubing that it goes in to it as well. The parts alone were over $50.00 not to mention what the labor costs added on would bring it too. I was wondering if anyone knew when it was changed and where I could locate a used one so that I don't have to change everything. Thank you!
