Replacing the key and the remote S70

I've bought a couple of remotes on e-bay and they're much cheaper than the Volvo dealer. My "guts" worked fine, it was just after dropping them about 10,000 times on a hard driveway, the loop that attaches them to the key ring breaks. Of course Volvo doesn't sell just the plastic casing. Anyway, e-bay is cheap although you still need the dealer to program the car to the remotes (!). Next time either safety-pin the keys to your clothing or buy a key float -- easy to buy at marine supply stores, boats have ignition locks too!

If you still have your "valet" key and don't lock your glovebox that might save a few bucks here -- the car is supposed to have 2 regular keys with remotes and a valet key that doesn't open the glovebox or trunk.
