Did I get ripped off? S70 1998

Being a frugal person with some experience on Volvos, I decided to change my own AC evaporator. AFter much dismantling I managed to change the evaporator and put it all back together. So far so good. I then went to my local garage to get the drier/receiver installed ( I had bought from FCP), and the AC evacuated and recharged. I did not ask how much it would cost up front - my mistake. I was shocked to see a bill for $240 for this simple job, including a charge of $60 for "2 lbs of freon",

I paid the $$ without any argument, but am now left with the nagging feeling that I was taken for a ride. Now I only hope that the A/C holds without more leaks.

What do you think? Should I avoid this shop in the future?
