Odd electrical problem 850 1997

Hello, I have a very strange problem. During very hot humid weather and occasionaly mild(I live in VA) I was having to use the shift lock overide. I replaced the stoplight swith, did not fix the problem. Whenever I use the shift lock overide my headlights/turnsignals/odometer do not function. But if I drive for more than about 20 minutes, every time I hit the brake they all function again (and stop working upon let up on the brake pedal). Also if I turn the key to run (not crank) the shifter will move every time, but starting from nuetral I have the same headlight/etc problem. Any ideas? I just replaced the selector microswitch, still no luck, it is starting to be more frequent as well. Any advice would be appreciated.

Jon
