94 850 Turbo...Blue Smoke 850

HI im looking into getting this 94 850T 160k miles wagon.
The car will start to smoke after about 5min of engine start...starts and idles fine!
Will a compression test tell me if im looking at eihter piston rings?..or valves?
And if that is ok then its the turbo? right?.

Thank you....car is in great shape otherwise...
