turn signal woes update V70-XC70 2001

As noted in my earlier post, the bulb failure indication and rapid flashing occur intermittently while using left turn signal. I have replaced the bulbs and cleaned the socket contacts. I have noticed that this problem doesn't seem to happen while the car is cold, but only after it has warmed up. Would this indicate something is malfunctioning after heating up? Would a defective flasher affect only one side? Does an '01 V70 still have a relay for the bulb failure indicator? Any input would be greatly appreciated. By the way, the car is under warranty (certified pre-owned) and this might be a warranty fix.

Thanks in advance,
Dane Klaproth
