whining noice on acceleration from passanger side on cold start 850

I have a 1995 850 Turbo wagon. Two day's ago, when I stepped on the gas, my wagon made a high pitched whining noice on acceleration from the passengers side. When I released the gas pedal, the whining noice would go away. Press the gas again and the whining starts. Eventually, after the car warms up, the whining noice stops altogether. Any ideas? Thanks.
