New 6 cylinder in the XC90

Anyone heard any pros and cons about the new, non-turbo 6 cylinder they've dropped into the 2007 XC90? Has it been out in use in Europe for any time?
It seems they get stuff like that before we here in the US do. I'm thinking of one of the new ones, but if the "proven" 2006 model's engine is better, then I'd wait for a model clearance deal.
