You said that Subarus are the safety equal of Volvos? ....

re: "...Subaru wagons.... safety testing equal to the Volvos.

Hmmm. Interesting statement, that the Subarus are the safety testing equal of Volvos.
I will take note that you wrote "safety testing equal" rather than the "safety equal" -- is there a deliberate (or subconscious) reason for including that clarifying word "testing"?

I have some thoughts on this:
1) is subaru the safety equal of Volvo?
2) what does it mean to be the 'safety test' equal, or in other words, what does passing a strict protocol crash safety test imply about a vehicle's safety in a real world with so many complicating factors?
and your statement actually prompted me to start a new thread on the OPINIONS forum,
http://www.brickboard.com/OPINIONS/index.htm?id=1109993&nr_no=1

So rather than divert this thread to another discussion, I'm just letting you and other readers know that if you care to have some fun following up on this, we can pursue this at the aforementioned other site.

Best regards,
