Location of key fob reciever 850 1995

OK, I have been all over this car trying to find the reciever for the key fob. I know that the 1993 had it on the inside right side of the passenger's right foot. The downloaded manual for the 1995 says it is just to the right of the instrument cluster.
Well, I looked on the passenger side first, nada. Then I took the knee bolster off under the steering wheel (pain) and I can see the back of the instrument cluster- nada.
I thought the box had a green connector, but where is it and how do I get to it? Do I have to remove the top of the dash???? Only if I know where it is first!
