Snow Tire size question

Hi Hi,
Afternoon good people,

Have a friend with a Subaru with 195 {65} 15 Hak 2's that I can get for next to nothing. So not only is the tire wider but it has a slightly hire aspect than the origonal equipment.

My Volvo book is telling me that they are recommending 185 {60} 15's for the Snow Tire.( I think I already know that I MUST go with a 185 as recommended).

Has anyone tried the 195-{65 or 60} -15 as a snow on an 850? If so, how did they perform?
