Tires for the V70 XC V70-XC70

I had my tires checked the other day for tread wear and the rears are down more than the fronts. I know I should have the same tire diameter everywhere so it's time to get a new set of boots!

Am I correct in saying the 2000 V70 originally came with Michelin MXV4 Plus tires? They are still available but the tire guy recommended either the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S or the Bridgestone Potenza RE960A/S. These two tires both had excellent consumer ratings on www.tirerack.com.

I was wondering if anyone would recommend these or any other tires that they've had good experience with on their V70 AWDs.

Also, there is a price difference between the H and V rates tires. Am I correct that the V70 originally came with V rated tires? Since I never go above 90 I wondered if I could get away with H rated and spend the difference on some other goodies.

Thanks,

RGW
