New Brake Pad Break-In Method 850

The composition of the pad is not what causes the noise. Noise is from vibration. New pads from Volvo have a builtin shim for the rear brakes, if yours doesn't have a shim, then I would order a set.
Use anti-squeal lubricant liberally on the back of all 4 pads. It comes in a tube from IPD and hardens after application. No more noise.
