Crankcase ventilation 850

At idle I think you should expect to feel very little suction. Not even very much at 2000 RPM or more. The rebreathing system is not exposed to full manifold vacuum, and not much air will flow through it unless the throttle plate is open some and lots of fresh intake air is also being drawn in. It is similar to old-fashioned systems that had some kind of orifice valve to regulate the suction. Unless you feel definite positive pressure, the system is probably functioning normally and coping with whatever amount of blowby your engine has.

Toward explaining the oil usage - how many miles are on the car? What kind of driving are you doing? Are you seeing a loss of fuel economy or some emission issues, or any smoke in the exhaust?

My 95 850NA has this amount of usage during highway driving. It has 140K miles which is not so many, but it has had a great deal of city and short trip use. I get definite positive crankcase pressure, even after servicing flame trap, oil separator and all hoses fully. I did not check compression or other issues yet.
