Fuel Pump Relay diagnostic 850 1996

Hi,

My 96 850T will run when first started, and then quits as if it is running out of fuel. Indeed, the fuel pump stops working after the initial bump when the key is turned to on. If I manually activate the relay the car will continue to run.

How do I determine if it is the relay that is faulty or the unit that tells the relay to operate? I do not have a wiring diagram for the relay and need to figure out what contact is for what on the slot. Does anyone have this information?? And, what unit tells the relay to operate, is it two seperate units for the initial key turn and then when the motor is running?

Thanks.

Shawn
