Unless you grind the gears a lot or shift without using the clutch (fun!), the tranny fluid should be good for 100K in a manual box. Open up the filler plug and using a wooden coffee stirrer, check the color. It should be OK.

BTW, I wouldn't change the fluid until it is out of warrantee.
