what is the most reliable year and model to buy 850

i am new to the 850 forum spending all my time at the 240 forum cuase i own them.

my daughter has asked me to look for a an 850 or a v70 for her. she grew up in volvo's.

question:

i know zip about 850's.

what year/s and which specfici models of the 850 are the ones i should focus upon in my search?

and which models and which years are to avoid at all costs?

she is grown with 2 little boys and a husband who knows "nothing" about cars.

when i mention 240's or 940's she looks at me and goes........."dadddddd, come on now"

so you see what i am up against!

anyway any help is appreciated!
