Sounds like your ignition switch is going bad. If you have alot of stuff (?)hanging on your keychain try putting ONLY the key into the slot. If you're half way handy you can replace it yourself. Just need a #15 and #25 torx driver with a 4 inch shaft, about 30 min time and $50-90 depending on where you buy the switch.
