96,850 ignition switch glitch

Seems that the switch on my wifes 850 is requiring more and more key jiggling after start up to switch get the lights on. Do any of you fine people have a step by step for the fix for this. Pictures are oh so helpful, 850's so different from my B230fd 940.

I have the intention of changing out the Shift Lock Microswitch (have to use the shift reset button almost every time we put the car in gear) which I believe is an unrelated problem, but is it?. Should I replace the ignition switch before taking the time to replace the shift lock microswitch.
