Engine motor mounts S70 1999

My car has 74K miles on it and I am the original owner. I had to have engine mounts (front and rear) replaced in 3/05 and 10/06. Is this common? Could the fact that my neighborhood has speed bumps on the street cause the mounts to need replacing?
