1999 v70xc suspension question V70-XC70 1999

I had clunking and squeak noises from the front end. I replaced the sway bar linkages and the clunking is gone. The squeaking is still there. I opened the hood, and jumped up and down on the bumper. I noticed that the top of the struts were moving up and down in the rubber bushings. Question, is there an impending catastrophic failure waiting to happen? Or can I wait until spring to change the struts/bushings (88k miles).

Thanks
Chris
