replace ignition switch (electrical) V70-XC70 1997

Hi, my name is Leigh Mulcahy

Great. Someone who has actually replaced and ignition switch in one of these cars.

I pulled an old igntion switch out of a v70 volvo the other day and something wrong happened. I pryed the plastic bit away from the sitch and the wires fell out. So now i don't know the order at which the wires go. I should of written them down but I had no idea they would fall out. If you could help me out I would be forever thankful.

Starting at the post with the letter "S" and going clockwise could you please explain which wire by colour goes where.

I know there are 9 posts of which only 8 are used. I think the post with the letter "X" doesn't hava wire going to it.

The wires are:
yellow,
another yellow,
Yellow with purple/Black? trace,
Green with yellow trace,
red with black trace,
blue with yellow trace,
and blue with red trace.

It also has numbers/letters next to the posts. Clockwise they are:

S,
50,
X,
15A,
30,
15i
15i
30i,
and 15

Thankyou.
