Additional question regarding timing belt change; 2000 S70 S70 2000

Hello Everyone,

Two questions related to changing the timing belt on this car.

1. Does the vibration damper really need to be removed, or can the belt be massaged past the damper to slide on to the pulley?

2. If not, what size socket do you need to remove the nut that secures the damper?

I am in the middle of relocating and all my "sacred" tools are in storage. I will soon be changing my TB with minimal tools; borrowed if necessary.

Thanks for any replys or ideas.

Rich
