4 OBD codes no CEL How to reset V70-XC70 1999

All due respect to your mechanic, but driving with the rear defroster on sounds like a bunch of s**t to me. Stop by an Autozone or Pepboys and get the codes cleared, first.
You may have a slow vacuum leak at the elbows around and behind the alternator which can give a negative reading for the ecu and cause the O2 sensor to stumble.
I agree with rule308, you need a better mechanic.
