Anyone know anything about Audi A6s?

My buddy was the head mech at a local conglomerate audi dealer and said Never buy an a6, a4's and a8's are fine but there's a price hop on a6's parts and, like stated before, everything is hard to get too. Just look atg how many are for sale for cheap, must mean something!
