Installing tank heater; where to find metric drain bolt? 850

I purchased a tank heater from a local farm supply store and I'm looking forward to its 1000 Watts' warmth during the upcoming Minnesota winter. The heater employs a pump, and the instructions indicate that it wants to pull the coolant from an engine block drain, run through the heater, and return the coolant through the return hose.
Assuming that there is an engine block drain, my problem is finding a metric-sized hollow bolt to make the hose connection. The heater comes with one, but it's SAE. I just need a hollow, tapered 10mm bolt on one end with a barbed hose connection on the other. Anyone else been through this?
