heating issue 850 1995

it's november now and it's starting to get cold out...and i noticed that the two main vents (you know, the ones above the heater controls) are just spewing out cold air. the rest of the vents are giving me heat. i have an inkling that there's a vacuum hose disconnected for those two vents. if this is the problem, how would i go about getting to them? i've yet to take apart this car, only my old 240. if the problem isn't vacuum lines, what is it?
thanks,
-cory
