rpm's very low while braking to a stop S70 2000

My S70(non turbo) idles well and runs smoothly although when I stop the RPMs momentarily dip significantly below the 1K mark and then jump back to normal. So far it hasn't caused the vehicle to stall which is good but I still think something is off?? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
