erratic idling 850

Hi,
Lately my idling has been driving me nuts. There are times it would jump to 1500rpm and would stable at the normal 900rpm. ( i presume the normal is 900-1000rpm?) then there are also times it would drop to 600rpm and engine would die down though it does not stall. Engine starts then it goes back to 900rpm?

I also have the rotten egg smell during 1st start up and when AC is on.

I notice steam/smoke coming out of my dipstick when engine running (not in an alarming mass though).
What could it cause it or is this normal? By the way the steam comes out when i take out the dipstick.

I plan to do the flame trap and TB cleaning over the weekend.

Any input is highly appreciated..

thanks,
